Magic Mushroom Infused Guacamole

Fresh guacamole dip made with avocado, lime, onion, and cilantro served in a bowl with tortilla chips

An Easy Guac Recipe With a Psychedelic Twist

Serves: 2-4
Prep Time: 10 min

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 small tomato, diced (optional)

  • 1 jalapeño or serrano pepper, seeded and finely chopped (adjust for spice)

  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of 1 lime (or more to taste)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

  • Magic mushrooms, finely ground / powdered (dose as desired).

Dosing Reference:

1/4g or less is a microdose.
1g is a gentle glide into a new way of thinking
3.5g will make you trip pretty damn hard
More than 3.5g might get scary

*Start Slow! You can always take more later. Wait 90 minutes between doses, as the magic can take its time to kick in.

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash lightly with a fork (leave some chunks if you like texture).

  2. Stir in the chopped onion, tomato (if using), pepper, garlic.

  3. Add the lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  4. Fold in chopped cilantro if using.

  5. Finally, gently stir in your magic mushroom powder. Make sure it’s dispersed evenly. Taste and adjust lime or salt as needed.

  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, veggie sticks, or use as a spread.

Tips & Notes

  • Use very fresh avocados so the guac is creamy and mild.

  • Grinding mushrooms into a fine powder helps distribute flavor & effect evenly.

  • Lime (or other citrus) can help mask some of the earthiness.

  • If the flavor of mushrooms is too strong, you can add a bit more tomato, onion, or even a splash of fruit juice (pineapple or mango) to sweeten/mellow.

  • Store leftover in an airtight container, pressing plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning. Use within a day.

  • Consider safety: dosing carefully, clearly labeling portions. Saving some for later? Refrigerate it and LABEL IT! You don’t want your roommate or partner accidentally getting high before work or a family outing.

Why This Recipe Works

Guacamole is one of the best bases for mushroom edibles:

  • The healthy fats in avocado help your body absorb psilocybin.

  • Lime, onion, and garlic naturally mask the mushroom flavor.

  • It’s a shareable snack, perfect for a chill setting with friends.

  • Best of all, it feels light and fresh — no heavy “brownie belly” while you’re waiting for liftoff.
